THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ALKALINE DIET

HOW IMPORTANT IS THE ALKALINE DIET, AND WHY SHOULD THE BODY DEPEND ON SUCH A DIET?

WHAT IS ALKALINE?
Oxford Definition:
Having the properties of an alkali, or containing alkali; having a pH greater than 7.
Meaning of pH:
pH" in the context of "alkaline" refers to the "power of hydrogen," a measurement used to indicate how acidic or alkaline a substance is, where a pH value above 7 is considered alkaline (basic) and a value below 7 is acidic. Essentially, "alkaline" means a solution has a high pH level.

Key points about pH and alkalinity:
pH scale:
Ranges from 0 (highly acidic) to 14 (highly alkaline), with 7 being neutral.
 Alkaline meaning:
When something is described as "alkaline," it means its pH is greater than 7.

* Alkaline means that something has a pH higher than 7. The human body is naturally slightly alkaline, with a blood pH of around 7.4. The stomach is acidic, which allows it to digest food.

The pH of saliva and urine changes depending on diet, metabolism, and other aspects. The stomach is very acidic, with a pH of 3.5 or below. Therefore, it can break down food. Your urine changes depending on what you eat, which is how the body keeps the level in your blood steady.

THE ALKALINE DIET
The alkaline diet is where an individual consumes food and drink that is categorized as alkaline. This means that on the pH scale, the item has a pH between 7-14. The aim is to reduce the amount of acidic food and drink consumed.
The diet is derived from the notion that the different foods we eat affect the overall pH balance of our bodies. Food is considered alkaline or acid based on the laboratory combustion of the food. The alkaline diet for inflammation reduction and weight loss is comprised of fresh vegetables and fruits to maintain a pH level in the body.

The Alkaline diet is one of a few special diets, beneficial both for consumption and growth. The Alkaline diet also tends to be low in fats and calories, naturally promoting a healthy body weight and lowering heart disease risk factors.
The alkaline diet is based on the idea that replacing acid-forming foods with alkaline foods can improve your health, which has been extensively researched, and thus, its efficacy in the detoxification of acidic substances in the body has been confirmed. The diet also assists reduce or eliminate red and processed meats, removing a major contributor to heart disease from the diet.
BENEFITS OF AN ALKALINE DIET
There are several health benefits of an Alkaline diet. They include the following:

• Promote weight loss.

• Uncompromised mucous membrane.

• Improve kidney health.

• Eliminate toxins.

• Rejuvenate damaged cell tissue.

• Increase energy levels.

• Blood nourisher.

• Stimulate the brain and central nervous system.

• Immune support.

• Promoting healthy muscles.

• For inflammation reduction.

• Support bones.

People with various health conditions like cancer, diabetes, arthritis, herpes, HPV, and many other diseases are most benefited from this kind of diet. And it depends on the choice of treatment they may choose to undergo. I have administered traditional herbs to most of my patients alongside the above-mentioned diet. They overcame many of the listed diseases naturally and without any side effects. There are very beneficial proponents of this diet that can help fight these diseases by following the right medication.

In the world today, pharmaceutical companies may find contradicting views on this kind of diet, and as such, many sick people are misinformed concerning the maximum effectiveness and usefulness of such a diet.

Furthermore, in the aspect of the diet reducing acidic residues in the body, there is a plausible theory supporting that claim, and of which some herbal practitioners have been able to identify. For example, the late Dr. Sebi Bowman.
Its premise is that your diet can alter the pH value — the measurement of acidity or alkalinity — of your body. Your metabolism — the conversion of food into energy — is sometimes compared to fire. Both involve a chemical reaction that breaks down a solid mass. However, the chemical reactions in your body happen in a slow and controlled manner.
When things burn, an ash residue is left behind. Similarly, the foods you eat leave an “ash” residue known as metabolic waste. This metabolic waste can be alkaline, neutral, or acidic. Proponents of this diet have it that metabolic waste can directly affect your body’s acidity. In other words, if you eat foods that leave acidic ash, it makes your blood more acidic. If you eat foods that leave alkaline ash, it makes your blood more alkaline.
